The Union is growing

February 13, 2014

It has been a whirlwind of a week spending my nights packing up orders with my oldest daughter Brinley. The Sock Union membership is at 25 members and growing. The blog Fashionably Geek featured Sock Union on their site. Looking forward to continue growing the Sock Union, I already have a list of sock designs waiting to make their way onto some tube socks. I had a request to show shoe sizes that match sock sizes. These are approximate but should give you an idea of what size sock you need for your feet:

Thanks everyone for their support!

The Sock Union Story

Everyone in my Preschool class is in awe of the green & gold outfit I am rocking.

Sock Union is birthed out of a desire to share my love of striped socks with others. I created Sock Union for two reasons, nostalgia and the promotion of striped socks. I have fond memories of my youth, pulling up brightly colored striped socks, velcroing my sneakers, ready to have an adventure. Growing up socks had personality. Socks were multi-colored, multi-striped foot tubes that were an integral part of any fashion ensemble. Today, many wear socks that are hardly viewable above their footwear. Even baseball players nowadays hide their socks and stirrups behind saggy pajama pants. At Sock Union, we're not down with that.

How awesome are these outfits? Disregard what my brother is doing (right).

In 1997 I made a proclamation to only wear striped socks. My bald shins bear testament to my commitment from the years of wearing crew length striped socks. Sock Union promotes wearing striped socks because they are superiors socks. Striped socks are much easier to match then plain socks. They protect your vulnerable shins better then socks that only reach your ankle. Got an ugly lower leg? No problem. Throw on some striped socks and your fugly legs are now instant fashion statements.

Some people are not able to handle the pure awesomeness that these striped shin covers provide, but you are not that person. When you purchase a custom designed, made in the U.S.A., pair of socks from the Sock Union, you become a card carrying member of the Sock Union, proclaiming that you wear your socks high and striped!

Sock Union Commits To...

  • The treatment of all Sock Union members (and non-members) with love and respect.
  • The promotion of wearing striped tube socks.
  • The production of creative striped sock merchandise.
  • The remembering of childhood and the history of striped socks.

Say "NO" to grody ankle socks and "YES" to tubular striped socks.

We understand the need for those of you who are undercover to opt-out of the online membership roster. Totally understandable.
